Exchange with St. Peter’s College from New Zealand
On the morning of April 24th, 2013, 22 boys and 3 teachers from St. Peter’s College in Auckland, New Zealand paid a visit to our school.
Firstly, Mr. Zhou delivered his welcoming speech and looked back on the exchange history between two schools. The principal assistant from St. Peter’s College expressed her gratitude and good wishes for the future cooperation.
Then the group from St. Peter’s College was shown around the campus. In the gym, the boys were very excited to play basketball and badminton. Their enthusiasm and talent for sports are admirable.
After being taken around the campus, the boys from New Zealand had a special lesson——Taichi. Ms Li, the Taichi teacher, gave a performance at the very beginning. Then she taught the boys every action very patiently. The boys showed great interest in it.
After Taichi lesson, the boys participated in morning exercise with our students. They danced to the music adapted from the school anthem and did eye exercise, which is unique in China. The highlight of the exchange came when the boys from New Zealand performed HAKA on the platform of the playground in front of all the students in our school. Their passionate performance left us a very deep impression.
The exchange between our school and St. Peter’s College started in July 2010. St. Peter’s College is a prestigious boys’ school in Auckland. In the past three years, various forms of activities have been conducted. During this winter vacation, two English teachers from our school visited St. Peter’s College in Auckland.
